Dublin Marathon

So I have been really thinking about running the Dublin Marathon while I am in the UK. For a while I was resolved that I would not run and instead focus on school and work and my time in Europe. Marathon training takes so much out of you. It changes all of your life patterns, your diet, sleep and social life. Since London is not until April I won't be able to do it but then I found out that Dublin is on October 26th three days after my birthday and I will have 4 months to train in London.

The Dublin Marathon shares some very important qualities with Boston. Both Marthons are run on a Monday. Both Marathons have late morning starts. Both Marathons are sponsored by Adidas. And finally, both Marathons take place in historically Irish Catholic cities. There is a big difference however, Dublin will be a flat loop (none of this heartbreak stuff) and on a cool 50 degree day I might just run well. Besides, Dublin is close to London and I have never been to Ireland.
